Sherry Davis

Sherry Davis' unique art exemplifies the cultural influence of her deep South Texas border roots. Her early life on the family ranch influenced her appreciation for the colors in nature and the magnificent scope of life that the open ranch land engulfs underneath the big South Texas sky. The textures and colors of the 1930 ranch house that dual with the palette of colorful wildflowers and the nuance shades of green from the Texas brush country, became her instinctive colors and surface choices. The imprint from the cattle industry and the legacy of strong women in her family, yield the substructure for the content of various pieces of her work.
